Free Physical Activity

According to Health Canada, 63% of Canadians – just like you – are not active enough to achieve the health benefits they need from physical activity. When you consider how much benefit you gain from being active, this statistic speaks volumes about how irresponsible people are towards their health.

You don't have to buy special equipment or club memberships to become more physically fit. And, physical activity works in a variety of ways to reduce risk of illness, which is a very worthwhile pursuit. It's also an excellent way to reduce your weight.

Try to increase your activity level for a minimum of 30 minutes a day every day. A blended approach to your fitness is best. Do activities that you like. Walk, run, swim, garden, play with the kids or dog, dance or clean your house with vigor. Start slowly and build up. Try to incorporate fitness into all aspects of your day so that it does not become ONE MORE THING that needs to be done. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. Park you car at the far end of the parking lot or walk instead of driving.

Being fit does not need special training. It requires you to move your body. So, wiggle, wag and hoochie-koochie yourself to increased health and vitality starting now.
