The Breast Health Institute establishes special breast study fellowship

Philedelphia, PA -The Breast Health Institute has created a unique fellowship that will enable the annual recipient to undergo specialized training in breast diseases at three of Philadelphia's medical schools.

During the year long intensive, the recipient medical student¹s rotations will include surgery, pathology and breast-imaging at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, radiation oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine, and medical oncology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.

Jennifer Chalfin Simmons, has been chosen as the first recipient of the The Breast Health Institute fellowship. A graduate of Jefferson Medical College, Jennifer is currently completing a residency in general surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York.

The Breast Health Institute is a research and educational foundation based in Philadelphia.
