Teen Breast Development
My daughter is 15 years old. Her breasts are about two cup sizes different. Her doctor said there's nothing we can do about it. She also said that her breast will likely catch up with the other one but it's been the same size for about 3 years now. Her self esteem is not at all good. I have bought a fake breast to put in her bra to even them out. But she has had problems with them falling out in gym class or if shes running. She doesn't like to go swimming because there's nothing we can do with a swimsuit and people notices it right away. And other moms have had the nerve to ask me about it.
It hurts me as a mother to see my daughter in so much pain. She cries a lot and tries to hide it with oversized clothes and has a tomboy attitude because clothes that looks like a young lady reveal her problem.
Answer:
Many women end up with two different-sized breasts. This is normal. Perhaps you could get your daughter some counseling with someone who specializes in adolescent issues. With a greater understanding of development phases and an appreciation for what makes her a unique and wonderful person, she may feel less self-conscious.
