Breast Augmentation Statistics

According to American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) statistics, nearly 250,000 breast augmentation procedures were performed last year, an increase of 147 percent since 1997. These figures may include reconstruction surgeries as well.

The majority of women are born with breasts that are perfectly wonderful the way they are. True, this is not a scientifically based statistic. However, women have been led to believe their breasts need to be adjusted to fit a very narrow view of beauty. That is simply not true. Your breasts are likely perfect and uniquely yours. You don't need to become a statistic.
