Breast Cancer FAQ

TBS Editor's Note: There are a million possible questions for this page. I'm going to answer 3 and then send you off to look through this section of the breast site.

1. Can I get breast cancer?
Yes. Any woman or man can get breast cancer. The youngest breast cancer survivor I have met was 17.

2. How do I prevent breast cancer?
You can not fully protect yourself against breast cancer. You can increase your physical activity which has been proven to reduce your risk.

3. What causes breast cancer?
About 5% of breast cancer is genetically related. The rest is considered environmentally caused breast cancer, which includes your lifestyle choice.

The world of breast cancer is complex and cannot be chunked down into a few quick questions. Please go through this website for the details.
